With over 25 years of wilderness expedition, nonprofit, and higher education leadership, Gary has worked as a facilitator, university instructor, expedition leader, guide, and director. His work focuses on helping organizations build leadership capacity, navigate change and build great teams
Career highlights include co-developing the University of Idaho’s McCall Outdoor Science School, designing and instructing a leadership expedition for the United States Naval Academy, and earning his AIARE PRO 2 avalanche education credential. Gary’s nonprofit leadership experience spans more than 20 years of board and director roles with service organizations, foundations, and educational institutions. He believes that opportunities to lead are abundant and that anyone can participate in effecting meaningful change.
